The term “Load Management” is the new buzzword on the NBA injury report. This is the explanation the public is given when a marquee player doesn’t feel like running against the goddamn Suns. Basically a Gregg Popovich brainchild. It’s a slap in the face to fans who only get to come out once a year for a game, and get screwed out of seeing their favorite player because he feels like updating his Snapchat story from the bench instead of playing. It’s time that the rest of us get to start managing our loads. We have it hard here in America. Pretty tough getting through that rigorous college curriculum and then navigating the corporate world. And yet, nobody asks about managing our loads. Some days I’m so tired that I have to order an extra shot of espresso just to get through work. I encourage anybody out there who has any kind of sick leave at their job to call in for Load Management this week. Your employer has no idea what kind of load you are managing right now, and you have every right to take some time to make sure that load is managed.
